Benguerua
Island, Bazaruto Archipelago, Mozambique
Marlin Lodge is situated on the south-west
shore of Benguerua Island, the second largest
island in the Bazaruto Archipelago off the
coast of Mozambique. This unspoilt area offers
some of the finest scuba diving sites and
deep-sea fishing in the
world.

The lodge comprises 21 chalets built on
stilts with wooden decks, reed walls and
thatched roofs. All rooms are connected by
elevated walkways and are en-suite
with their own private veranda, and a wooden
walkway leading down to the beach. The lodge also offers
a swimming pool, beautiful recreation areas
and a friendly atmosphere where guests can
choose to be as involved in activities, or
be as secluded and private as they want.
This makes Marlin ideal for travelling families
and honeymoon couples escaping
for a few days.

Wonderful palm trees set in indigenous gardens
surround the whole lodge, and the sea views
are spectacular. The water temperature ranges
between 23°C and 26°C. This makes
scuba diving and snorkelling, combined
with a picnic lunch on one of the many beautiful
island beach locations, very popular. Other
activities include ski paddling, windsurfing,
hobie cat sailing and island drives.

Experienced chefs prepare dinners
of a wide array of seafood specialties. Dinners
are served in the main dining area
or on the beach in front of the lodge, where
a wonderful selection of seafood is prepared
over open fires on the beach.

Marlin Lodge accepts children of all ages.
