Day 1: To Trivandrum
Overnight by Kuwait Airways from Heathrow changing flights in Kuwait for Trivandrum. This is where your travel to South India adventure begins!
Day 2: Varkala
Early morning arrival and transfer by private car to Varkala then two days to relax and enjoy the Taj Garden Retreat Hotel. Unwind by the pool, play a game of tennis or work out in the Health Club.
Day 3: Varkala
Spend the day enjoying the Taj Garden Retreat Hotel. There's nothing more relaxing and calming than the charm of Indian culture, cuisine and surroundings. Feel your cares slip away as the magic of travelling South India takes over!
Day 4: To Cochin
Morning drive to Cochin and two nights at the Brunton Boatyard. Afternoon at leisure. Evening performance of the spectacular Kathakali dancing, arriving early to watch the intricate make up being applied.

Day 5: Cochin
Morning city tour of Cochin – the ‘Venice of the East’ including the fascinating cantilevered Chinese Fishing Nets, Jewish Synagogue, St. Francis Church and Mattancherry Palace. Afternoon at leisure followed by a Harbour Cruise.
Day 6: To Munnar
Delightful drive up through the Cardamom Hills to the British hill station of Munnar. Stay for two nights at the Tall Trees.
Day 7: Munnar
Day to explore with your driver, perhaps the Tea and Cardamom Plantations or Eravikulam National Park, an area of outstanding natural beauty, with countless unique species of flora and fauna including the endangered Nilgiri Thar.
Day 8: To Periyar
Morning drive to Periyar staying at the Spice Village. Late afternoon game viewing boat trip– elusive tiger, rumbustious otter, feisty wild boar and stately elephant come to drink the waters of the man-made lake, created in 1895 by the British to supply water for Madurai.

Day 9: To Kumarakom
Early morning boat game viewing on the Lake. Then drive to Kumarakom through verdant countryside lunching at a traditional Planter’s House. Two nights at the Coconut Lagoon.
Day 10: Kumarakom
Morning boat trip on Lake Vembanad to a backwater farm. Afternoon at leisure followed by an unforgettable sunset boat ride on the shimmering mercurial lake.
Day 11: Houseboat
Glide the ancient backwaters in a traditional Keralan boat, relax and watch the people go about their daily lives so closely entwined with the waterways. Overnight on houseboat
Day 12: To Mararikulam
Drive to Mararikulam for three nights at the Marari Beach for your beach stay.
