Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival/Sunset Cruise

On arrival at Livingstone Airport you will be met by our English speaking guide and taken to the Royal Livingstone Hotel. Located on the banks of the Zambezi River, this lovely hotel is divided into 17 colonial-style buildings. There is a classic swimming pool that visually links the waters of the river with the terraces of the hotel.

With fantastic views towards the falls, this is a very special place to stay. After time to freshen up and relax, you will be collected and taken on a relaxing African Queen Sunset Cruise. The cruise lasts 2 hours and includes snacks, canapés and drinks.

Day 2: White Water Rafting

After breakfast, you will be collected from the hotel for a full day of white water rafting. During certain times of the year (during low water) this has to be reduced to a half day tour as the water level is too low. Lunch and dinner are included.

Day 3: Victoria Falls from the Air

After breakfast, you have the choice of ways to fly over Victoria Falls. You may select to take the Flight of Angeles by fixed wing aircraft, or take the flight in a Microlight, or opt to fly over the falls by helicopter.

The rest of the day is taken at leisure.

Day 4: African Elephant Trek

After breakfast, you will be collected from the hotel for an African Elephant experience! It is not often that one can climb onto the back of an African Elephant and set off at an easy rolling pace in search of other wild game: wild elephant, giraffe, buffalo and more. The ride lasts about 4 hours.

Day 5: Optional Activities

Day of leisure with a range of optional activities including:

• Jet Boating on the Zambezi
• Fishing in the Upper Zambezi
• Abseil gorge swinging
• Bungee jumping
• Quad biking
• River boarding and rafting
• Visit to Livingstone Island
• Chobe National Park experience

Day 6: Depart OR Optional Add On

Your experience draws to an end as you are transferred to Livingstone Airport for your onward flight.

Big game viewing in the Chobe National Park
The Chobe National Park in Botswana is only a 1 hour drive from Livingstone. It is one of the greatest game reserves in Southern Africa and famous for the number of elephants that live there. The Chobe River flows lazily through the Caprivi flood plains and provides a haven for huge herds of buffalo and elephant, zebra, wildebeest and impala which are followed closely by the predators; lion, hyena, the elusive leopard and the odd pack of the now rare wild dog. The bird life is also exceptional. Getting to Chobe includes crossing the Zambezi River on a boat at the point where 4 counties meet; Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Namibia.

The Safari starts with a morning gameviewing cruise on the Chobe River. Tea, coffee, drinks and snacks are served on board. Large flocks of birds, big pods of hippos and very large crocodiles are all about. Disembark. Lunch at the Chobe
Marina Lodge overlooking the Chobe River and the plains beyond. Onto open safari vehicles for an afternoon game drive into the park. The game drive meanders its way back to Customs and Immigration, crossing the Zambezi and back to Livingstone. Spend one night on Chobe before returning to Livingstone.
